Printing Music with MusicReader
A music teacher just sent us the following question:
If I was going to use the program as a teaching tool in my studio, would the students also have to have the program? Can you print the "lesson" out for the student after you have made the marks on their music?
There are several advantages with having your students equipped with their own versions of MusicReader:
- Annotated scores from the lesson can be shared via a USB thumb drive, or sent via the internet (ie, email if the file is under your email server's attachment size limit).
- Over time, ink annotations on paper can become - well, messy, for lack of a better term. Digital ink in MusicReader is easily erasable, which actually serves the student well to keep their scores (and their focus!) clean and uncluttered as they progress in their learning of the music.
- No more misplaced, lost, or "the dog ate my score" excuses! The student's complete library comes with them to every lesson, ensuring no wasted time fumbling for parts.
- No need to buy costly ink cartridges or use up paper - using MusicReader is a wonderfully green solution to the environmental problem of paper scores!
That being said, for teachers who are more comfortable with paper printouts, MusicReader offers a simple printing solution. Watch this short screencast to see how easy it is to print annotated MusicReader scores, and note how both physical and virtual printers can be used to print out to paper or other file formats like PDF's:
