Powerfully simple digital tool kit for the modern musician!

Notate, view, and turn digital music scores right from your computer

Boulder, CO (May 11, 2009): AirTurn, Inc. announced that it is partnering with MusicReader software to enhance the utility of its AT-104, a hands free wireless page-turner, first introduced in December 1, 2008. In response to digital music score users who want to retain the “pencil and paper” notation function, the new version of MusicReader software now allows musicians to enjoy all the benefits of paper scores with more versatility and power— its capabilities include nondestructive notation, ability to save many different versions of notated scores, multiple viewing and turning options (half page, single page, two pages, zooming…), recording, metronome, tuning, bookmarking, storing, cataloguing and retrieving thousands of scores instantaneously.
The concept behind the AT-104 hands free page-turner is quite simple. By depressing an attached pedal, a signal is sent from the AT-104 to the computer that is equivalent to the Page Up or Page Down functions on the keyboard that programmatically turn a page. No software installation is required for most document and music reader programs to immediately recognize the wireless page turning commands from the AT-104. For example, a user may scan or download any musical score in PDF or Word file and use the AT-104 to turn the pages of that electronic document.

The AT-104 and MusicReader are specifically designed with the musician in mind who deals with the daily inconveniences of paper scores including pianists, conductors, and contemporary musicians, guitarists, church musicians, among others. Digital scores can be downloaded online or scanned to be converted easily to MusicReader.
AirTurn, Inc., a newly formed Boulder based company, is dedicated to bringing technological solutions that exponentially enhance the study, practice and performance of music for today’s musicians.
