A little while ago, one of my sons begged me to teach him to play the main title theme from his all-time favorite movie, "Star Wars".  One caveat was that he didn't want to learn a "simplified" version - he really wanted to sound as close to the original orchestration as possible.  After a good bit of research, I came across a piano version that came pretty close to simulating the version we all hear in the famous opening marquis of all the Star Wars films.

We had so much fun working on this, that I thought I'd try my hand at adapting some of the techniques I used to teach him into a short video lesson series.  My goal is to see if anyone with no prior piano or music reading experience can follow along with these lessons to learn to play this challenging version of the famous movie theme "from scratch".  Here's a preview of the music we'll be working on:
